TV brackets are meant to be fixed on the wall. It enhances the viewing experience and improves the decor of the room. There are different models and types of TV brackets, such as tilt and swivel. The fixed or immovable TV wall bracket does not have any moving parts. It is secured to the wall and the TV set is mounted on it in a fixed position. This is ideal in a small room. Other TV wall brackets have arms or facilities that allow you to pull the TV away from the wall and adjust it according to the needs of the viewer. It can tilt the screen several degrees upwards or downwards and it can swivel left to right for as much as 360 degrees. The installation process is basically the same, regardless of the features in the different models and types of TV wall brackets.
Firstly, get all the things you will need for fixing the bracket on the wall and mounting the television on the brackets. You will need a stud finder, a spirit level, pencil, drill, screwdrivers, screws, cable finder, pipe finder and measuring tape. The tools must be appropriate to the type of wall. For instance, if you are securing it on a cement wall, the drill bits should be for cement and not wood. You might not need to look for studs if the cement wall is strong and sturdy. However, as a precaution, it is recommended that you secure the TV brackets on studs.
Ceiling Tv Bracket
Once you've selected the location for your TV bracket, make sure it is leak free and not subjected to extreme heat. A damp wall or excessive heat can damage the TV. Use the stud finder to find the studs in the wall. Mark the area of the studs and hold the bracket against the wall. Move the bracket around the area until you find a good spot to install the bracket, preferably in the center of the stud. Use the cable and pipe finder to make sure there are no pipes or wires along the way. You don't want to drill holes and accidentally damage a pipe or cable. Use the level to ensure the TV is at the appropriate height and is laid out even and straight. This has to be done carefully as any deviation could result in an uneven or lopsided TV screen. Mark the positions. Place the TV bracket against the wall and mark the spots where you will be drilling the holes. The holes are simply to facilitate placing the screws later. It should be about two metric sizes smaller than the screws, so the screws can be firmly secured in the studs. If the holes are too large, it can loosen the grip of the TV bracket. Fix the bracket on the wall by screwing it in the position. The TV bracket must be firmly in place before mounting the television. If you are attaching the brackets to a cement wall, you will need to put cement anchors in the holes before screwing the TV bracket in place. Make sure the screws are not wiggling or loose. You can test this by shaking the TV bracket and observing if the screws move at all.
